Gaillardia puts on a vivid display in august. This plant is just as showy as Black Eyed Susan's or Rhododendrons and much more colorful. For whatever reason it doesn't seem to be very well known but it can really "jazz" up a garden in august. Gaillardia likes sunny dry areas. |

You might want to watch-out for something (like a weevil) eating the roots. Both the Bayer and Bonide systemic insecticide will take care of that. |
